Your Mix

i. heart. dance.

I'm not great at it, but when I was younger I'd choreograph routines to music with my tapeplayer & headphones. I took dance when I was in junior high, but I've never had the body for it and didn't go far. As an adult I started taking dance lessons a few years ago--Hip Hop! The first routine I learned was to Apple Bottom Jeans--LOL! Seriously, the dance lessons were (are) just for me--NOT for public consumption. Well, not yet. Some day--but not Apple Bottom Jeans. Maybe a Salsa routine or something.

Someday I hope to meet a man who, if he doesn't *heart* dance, will at least *heart* me enough to take partnered dance lessons. *sighs* a girl can dream!

Actually I need to get in better shape (see Scarlett: Kettlebells) so that I can start taking lessons again. . . .Man! I put alot of my life on hold because of my weight . . . for. dumb. ANYWHO, when I workout I LOVE some great Hip-Hop or dance music--maybe a little rock--but mostly Hip-Hop. I change my workout remix on a regular basis, but right now, for Kettlebells, here's what's on my play list:

  • Boom Boom Pow Black Eyed Peas
  • Everybody Dance Now C&C Music Factor
  • Push It Salt-n-Pepa
  • Welcome To the Jungle Guns-n-Roses
  • Sabotage Beastie Boys
  • Falls Apart Thousand Foot Krutch
  • Feel Good Gorillaz

This changes on a regular basis based on my mood--but anything with a beat gives me energy. What about you? What would be on your workout Mix??

  1. Hmmmm ... good question. Obviously I don't HAVE a workout Mix or I wouldn't need to think on it (which I do), so I'll think on that once I turn my brain on! Too early!!!

Just stopped by to let you know that I posted my YUMMY carrot bar recipe that you asked about! You could eat a bar ... and then put to good use your Workout Mix!!! :-)

  2. Apple Bottom Jeans, I LOVE it!! I love dance too, I'm not good but I like to do it anyway. :) I usually listen to the radio when I work out but this is a good post, I will have to check back and make a list to put in my iPod!
